Tissue Engineering SIG - CALL FOR NOMINATIONS DEADLINE EXTENDED - Cell Biomaterials Patient-Centric Innovation Award

The Tissue Engineering SIG, in partnership with Cell Biomaterials, is pleased to announce the Cell Biomaterials Patient-Centric Innovation Award. This award recognizes individuals whose research or clinical projects prioritize patient needs and experiences in the development of biomaterials and medical devices.
Eligibility:
The candidate must be within 10 years of receipt of their terminal degree (PhD or equivalent) and should not exceed rank of Assistant Professor.
Criteria:
- Evidence of patient involvement in the research process
- Innovations that improve patient outcomes or quality of life
- Research that addresses specific patient needs or challenges
Nomination Process:
- Nominations should include the nominee’s CV
- Self-nominations are welcome
- Please send all materials to Woojin Han (woojin.han@mssm.edu) by February 13, 2026.
The SIG officers will review all nominations and develop a shortlist. Final selection will be made in collaboration with the Cell Biomaterials editorial team. The awardee will be recognized during the upcoming SFB Annual Meeting.
