National Student Chapter

At SFB, we seek to engage and excite new generations of biomaterial innovators. To this end, we developed our National Student Section— a sub-organization of SFB that seeks to encourage the development, dissemination, integration, and utilization of knowledge in biomaterials among students and foster multi-disciplinary interactions among all members of the Society For Biomaterials.

The objectives of the National Student Section of SFB are to promote student research, education, and professional development in biomaterials and related disciplines while furthering the advancement of biomaterials research and education.

The National Student Section of the Society For Biomaterials aims to identify students who demonstrate an interest in biomaterials, to generate student interest and interaction with biomaterials, and to aid the efficacy of students seeking research, education, and professional development opportunities.

Local student chapters are organized to promote the mission, objectives, and goals of the National Student Section (as stated above) at their host institutions, and to promote fellowship and professional development among students.
