The Society For Biomaterials hosted a webinar on Thursday, June 4, 2015, explaining how you can effectively run an academic research lab.

SFB President Thomas Webster of Northeastern University covered a number of topics including:

- Best practices for setting up and organizing a biomaterials lab

- Techniques and new standards to be aware of for properly running a lab and maintaining good lab practices

- How to foster a discussion on how to manage a lab and build your lab team

- Successful and unsuccessful stories on how to run a productive lab and publish research
